Murphy Bed Replacement Piston - Create-A-Bed Pistons are engineered and made specifically for our murphy bed hardware. To order the correct piston for your murphy bed, match the colored label on your old pistons with the options listed below.

If your bed IS safely mounted to the wall per our instructions. You will need the COMPRESSED piston.

If your bed is NOT safely mounted to the wall then you will need a FULLY EXTENDED piston.

*Disclaimer* Compressed Pistons must be installed per provided instructions in package – do not cut the metal bands. Make sure your murphy bed is safely secured to the wall per our instructions prior to installing compressed pistons.

Replacement pistons

"They were very easy to install, everything about installation of the bed and directions were amazing. I’ve had the bed for four years and love it. However, this is the second time that I’ve had to replace the piston. The left side broke very early after installation and the right side broke about three years later. It doesn’t seem to be from misuse or miss installation. It’s either a thread issue or plastic breaking and the piston extending out."
